WHY IT MATTERS
Better Teaching, More Learning

NEW ALUMNI PROGRAM RESULTS
Teachers Continue Growing.
Students Do Too.
TeachUNITED’s Alumni Program gives flagship program graduates continued coaching, peer connection, and leadership development after their initial year. In our pilot in Tanzania, the early results are striking.
Students at alumni teachers’ schools passed math at 78% higher rates than neighboring schools, and promotion rates climbed 58%. Alumni teachers are 9x more likely to pursue school leadership roles.
M&E APPROACH
Rigorous measurement is part of the program.
Powerful results are only possible with a meaningful monitoring and evaluation plan in place. Every TeachUNITED partnership includes a co-designed, structured M&E process built from the start, not added after the fact.
Collaboratively Designed
Our teams work with each partner to identify the assessments, metrics, and outcomes that matter most for their schools and communities before the program begins.
Measured at Every Level
We collect student achievement data, teacher satisfaction and retention data, and standardized assessment results. Our M&E data offers a full picture of teacher and student impact.
Embedded Into Each Program
Data collection is scheduled and built into program delivery, not tacked on at the end. Our team works closely with partners to ensure consistent and low-burden data collection.
Shared Results & Learnings
When results are in, we bring findings back to school and program teams so everyone can learn and improve together. We see data as a coaching tool, not a reporting requirement.
