TEACHUNITED IS PROUD TO GROW OUR PROGRAM IN LATIN AMERICA THROUGH PARTNERSHIP WITH SEEDS FOR PROGRESS FOUNDATION.

In order to meet our mission and drive larger cultural and structural change within the education system, TeachUNITED (TU) is pursuing new paths for growth of impact in certain geographic areas. While we continue to serve schools and teachers directly through our current model, we are also creating partnerships with NGOs already established in new regions to learn the TU program and implement it within their network of schools. We’re honored to partner with the Seeds for Progress Foundation to grow impact for students and teachers of Nicaragua!

The Seeds for Progress Foundation improves access to high-quality education by creating opportunities to advance the quality of life for students, teachers and their families in the rural communities of Nicaragua’s coffee-growing regions. The mission alignment between TU and Seeds for Progress makes this an exciting partnership and ensures high-quality programs that maximize impact!

Beginning in September 2021, Seeds for Progress Foundation’s Educational Facilitators (EFs) will participate in the TeachUNITED training program. This will include training in a coaching cohort, workshops / webinars, and online coursework in personalized learning. The group of EFs will experience the TeachUNITED curriculum as participants, while developing their own coaching skills with targeted coaching lessons. EFs will then lead training within their network of Teacher Mentors. With intentionally designed lessons and learning experiences, the program develops participants’ skills and ability to lead this work with others.

Upon successful completion of the program, Seeds for Progress Foundation’s Educational Facilitators will be recognized as “TU Partnership Coaches” and will be able to access and deliver the TeachUNITED program to their partner schools in Nicaragua. TU Partnership Coaches will lead educators in high impact strategies in growth mindset, student engagement, and data-driven design. Outcomes will be reported through both qualitative and quantitative measures, and professional learning community (PLC) work will be made based on student achievement and academic growth.

We’d also like to thank Vitol Foundation for the generous support of partnerships like this. This model for growth will allow the TU program to be delivered to more schools across Africa and Latin America, creating greater impact for students and teachers. As we scale our work, these new partnerships will be key to maximizing our impact!
