TeachUNITED is excited to grow our partnership with the Wyoming Department of Education.

EMPOWERING EVERY EDUCATOR: ADMINISTRATOR AND TEACHER COACHING FOR TANGIBLE RESULTS IN THE CLASSROOM

The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) is again sponsoring a professional development opportunity for Wyoming teachers and administrators with TeachUNITED (TU). In the 2020-21 school year, thousands of teachers across Wyoming participated in TU professional development programs. With cohorts of their peers, they learned and applied best instructional practices and received individualized feedback (read more about the 2020-21 program here). Focusing on adaptable, blended, and virtual strategies, TU coaches supported teachers through the challenges of teaching and learning during a pandemic.

In the 2021-22 school year, the focus of the program continues to support participants in learning the most effective and impactful strategies to transform their practices, engage all students, and form professional learning communities, regardless of setting. This learning opportunity will support, energize, and empower teachers and administrators with the high-impact instructional strategies needed to set and reach ambitious student learning goals, developing each student’s full potential whether learning takes place in the classroom, in a blended environment, or in a fully virtual setting. Participants will see key benefits like improved student academic growth while also building teacher and administrator capacity.

We have heard from several partner schools, while teacher-embedded coaching is vital to student success, school leadership is also yearning for professional learning and development to help their staff succeed. So, this year, the partnership also includes a new TU coaching program designed specifically for administrators that provides application-based tools to support sustainable school improvement.

Together, TeachUNITED and the WDE will ensure Wyoming teachers and administrators are supported so students continue to grow, achieve, and succeed.
