Building Teacher Skills.
Improving Student Outcomes.

Great teachers need support. We're here to help.

The future of education depends on great teachers. TeachUNITED provides long-term, personalized coaching and training that builds teacher capacity, drives student success, and transforms schools from the inside out.

Designed by Teachers

Our model was built and is run by educators who understand the challenges teachers face. Our programs are tailored to help schools achieve their goals, giving teachers classroom-ready tools to improve learning today.

Delivered by Coaches

Teachers don’t need more one-off workshops; they need consistent, practical support. Our expert local coaches provide personalized support over a full school year, ensuring every teacher feels seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

Driven by Impact

Every program we deliver is built on evidence and driven by real-time data to ensure lasting student impact. Educators who participate in our programs increase math and literacy rates and are more likely to continue teaching next year.

Investing in a Brighter Future

The Challenge: A Global Learning Crisis

Rural and under-resourced schools are being left behind. Educators lack the skills and support needed to deliver quality education. As a result, more than half of young people globally lack basic reading and math skills, limiting their future opportunities.

Our Solution: Supporting Education’s Greatest Resource — Teachers

We are tackling this crisis by investing in teachers. Teacher quality is the single biggest factor in student success. Our high-touch, long-term model builds capacity from within, equipping communities to lead their own transformation for the long term. Our approach is evidence-based and works across all grade levels and subjects, ensuring practical, immediate application.

“When Mr. Juma came back from his training, things started to change…”

– Amina, Student

In less than five months, Elimu-Soko, our partnership with the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, equipped 200+ educators with tools to enhance engagement and learning for more than 20,500 students. One of those students shares the difference she noted in her teacher: “He began teaching in ways that made learning fun and easier to understand. Now, I enjoy coming to class and participating in the lessons. I understand the subjects better, and my grades have improved a lot.” Learn more about Mr. Juma and our government partnership.

Real, Lasting Impact

We rigorously measure our programs to ensure they deliver lasting change for teachers and students. Amongst other results:

In East Africa, the number of secondary students performing at grade level increased by 83% after TeachUNITED.

Students in our partner schools in Central America showed four times the growth in math compared to their peers.

In East Africa, girls’ early literacy scores increased by 149%—more than 4x the growth in other schools.

Working with and for Our Partners

TeachUNITED is excited to announce a partnership in Uganda with Girl Up Initiative Uganda. Building a vibrant movement of girls and young women, Girl Up Initiative Uganda is working to build a gender-equal world where girls thrive and lead. Given TeachUNITED’s track record for significantly improving educational outcomes for girls (pass rates, math and literacy scores), this partnership is truly a great alignment.

Ninos en Alegria (NEA) believes one of the most relevant factors for the achievement of expected learning in students is the quality of teachers. And we enthusiastically agree! Aligned with NEA’s mission to improve the conditions of primary schools throughout Guerrero, Mexico, TeachUNITED will provide teacher training and coaching. Those lead teachers will go on to coach over 200 teachers. See the program here

The possibilities of doing really impactful work multiply when you find a partner whose mission marches hand in hand with your own. TeachUNITED’s mission of providing education-based NGOs and schools around the world access to world-class training and the mission of FUNSEPA to contribute to the development of Guatemala, improving education through technology represent two such missions, and we are thrilled to announce our partnership—we’re all in this together!

The Toa Nafasi Project is an expert in serving the schools in their community. TeachUNITED is an expert in providing educator training that creates lasting impact in school and districts. The two non-profits worked together to bring this expert teacher training to schools that Toa Nafasi works with in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania to support both teachers and students most in need.
