The Challenge: A Global Learning Crisis

Rural and under-resourced schools are being left behind. Educators lack the skills and support needed to deliver quality education. As a result, more than half of young people globally lack basic reading and math skills, limiting their future opportunities.

We are tackling this crisis by investing in teachers. Teacher quality is the single biggest factor in student success. Our high-touch, long-term model builds capacity from within, equipping communities to lead their own transformation for the long term. Our approach is evidence-based and works across all grade levels and subjects, ensuring practical, immediate application.

In less than five months, Elimu-Soko, our partnership with the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, equipped 200+ educators with tools to enhance engagement and learning for more than 20,500 students. One of those students shares the difference she noted in her teacher: “He began teaching in ways that made learning fun and easier to understand.
